Well, my standards are:
-Skirts/shorts must be past fingertips when standing up.
-No plunging necklines/excessive cleavage/middrift showing.
-Nothing TOO tight, all clothing must fit properly.
-No “slutty” designs (i.e. Playboy bunnies, sayings like “If you’re cute, I’m single”)
- And lastly, nothing that’s “too old” for their age, if it looks like something that should be worn by a 16 year old, I would not allow an 11 year old to wear it.

tube tops. anything see through , spaghetti straps (excused for very formal wear in older girls and women) short shorts, mini skirts, shirts that show belly. shirts that say rude things on them. No child in my family is allowed to wear shirts with words on them, the exception being the “It’s My birthday” shirt

I used to work in a clothing store where we sold clothing for both female & males. You would not believe the amount of mothers bringing in there daughters to buy short-shorts, halter tops or night club gear (short skirts, cleavage showing shirts, lace up pants, & skimpy dresses). The whole time complaining that the outfits were to revealing, to short, or to low cut. Yet they still bought them for their kids.

The better question in my opinion is why complain about what your children are wearing when you are the ones doing the buying? Why get mad when they wear inappropriate clothing if your the one who paid for it?

We’re not even talking about older Teens either… here the average age was 11 & up!

I would define anything that is designed to be sexually provocative inappropriate. I have no problem with partial/total nudity. It is when the girl packages it like she was selling it that I have a problem. Maybe I’m strange but a bottomless preteen wouldn’t offend me whereas one in a string thong would.
