Edwin Clothing is a Japanese clothing company offering a variety of casual clothes. They have everything from graphic T-shirts to stonewash denim jeans available online. The following is a breakdown of the different styles and fashions of jeans you can find from Edwin Clothing.
Raw Denim Jeans
One of the most authentic looks of casual clothing is the basic denim jeans. Most denim jeans come pre-washed and broken in for you. Raw denim jeans are available from Edwin as a more natural and authentic style of jeans and nudie clothes
These Raw denim jeans are available in different styles and cuts to accentuate any body style. They come in the standard Pure Blue Denim option as well as slim fitting tighter sizes.
When choosing to go with the Raw Denim option of jeans, there are other factors to remember. To have the jeans fit perfectly it is recommended that you wear them for around 6 months prior to the first wash to maximize the effect. The jeans will keep the form they have grown into from the time you have been wearing them and will fit naturally after they have been washed the first time.
Another important thing to consider with the Raw Denim jeans is that they will, on average, shrink about ¾ inches of the length during the first wash. Although the jeans are naturally allowed excess length to compensate for this you still want to always be sure they are extra long on you to allow for shrinking.
Dry Denim Jeans
Another type of jeans available from Edwin clothing are Dry jeans. These have the same characteristics of the raw denim in regards to not washing them for the first 6 months of use and allowing for excess length that will shrink.
Dry jeans are available in even many different styles. Along with the traditional basic cut, they have the straight leg shape and the smaller slim thin fit options available.
One unique variations of the denim jean from Edwin is the Rainbow Selvage jean. These jeans are made from the finest quality of selvage raw denim and include a button style fly. In the 1960’s they began to use much heavier ring spun denim that created a rainbow selvage seam which can be seen when the jeans are rolled up.
Used Denim Jeans
Edwin Clothing was the first company in the 1970’s to develop the ‘old wash’ fashion of denim. It is designed to duplicate the way normal denim jeans look after they have been worn and broken in over time.
Along with the old wash style they also introduced the fashion world to the ‘stonewash’ and ‘new vintage’ styles in the 80’s and 90’s. These jeans are designed and colored to stylistically distinguish the look from traditional denim.
Stonewash has revolutionized the entire industry of denim jeans since its creation. Creating the look of bright contrast in the faded worn colors of denim gives it an entirely different look and style to normal denim.
